Collier Library has added three new streaming video databases: Counseling & Therapy in Video: Volume II, Education in Video, and Films on Demand.
Counseling & Therapy in Video: Volume IIwill include more than 300 additional hours of training videos, reenactments, and footage of therapy sessions conducted by renowned psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists, and social workers when complete.
Education in Video is the first online collection of streaming video developed specifically for training and developing teachers. It includes more than 1,000 video titles totaling 750+ hours of teaching demonstrations, lectures, documentaries, and primary-source footage of students and teachers in actual classrooms.
Films on Demand provides streaming access to videos from Films for the Humanities.

EBSCO Discovery Service - BETA
EBSCO has created a central index that contains citation information from most of the library's subscription databases along with the contents of the library catalog. Combining this content into a single database, EBSCO Discovery Service allows users to search the vast majority of the library's resources simultaneously.

Set Google Scholar to Show Full-Text @ UNA
Users who chose to search Google Scholar can now link to full-text provided by Collier Library using the Full-Text @ UNA link.
When using computers on-campus, Google Scholar should automatically show the Full-Test @ UNA link. To add the link to other computers: 1) Click "Scholar Preferences" at the top-right of the search screen. 2) Type north alabama in the "Library Links" search box and click "Find Library". 3) Click in the "University of North Alabama Libraries - Full-Text @ UNA" check-box.

The library has recently implemented the LinkSource link resolver. This product allows users to link from a citation in one database to the full-text of a specific article in another database. This resource has been added to most of our online databases. Look for the Full-Text @ UNA link in your favorite database to try out this new product.

ILL Gets an "Easy" Button
Tired of trying to figure out what the volume and issue number are when you fill out an ILL form? There is an end in sight. Now you can use an "easy" button to supply this information.
How does this work? Simple: 1) Find the perfect citation in one of the library's database (or even Google Scholar). 2) Click the "Full-Text @ UNA" link to determine if the article is full-text in any of the library's databases. 3) If the article is full-text, follow the link to the full-text article. 4) If full-text is not available, click "ILL Article Request." 5) The ILL form will load and the citation information will populate the appropriate fields. 6) Enter your "requester" information. 7)Click "Submit" then sit back and wait for your article to arrive.

Over 1,000 New Full-Text Journals Added!
The library has recently upgraded two existing journal packages. The library's journal package through Wiley Online has been expanded from less than 400 titles to more than 1,400. In addition, the library upgraded our Sage access from Sage Criminology to Sage Premier. This database contains more than 500 journal titles that were not full-text in Sage Criminology.
