ScienceDirect PDF problems

The vendor for ScienceDirect, Elsevier, informs us that there are issues with opening PDF versions of articles on their website. If you have trouble opening a PDF on ScienceDirect, please try these steps:

Try clearing the temporary internet files (cache) and cookies (http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache) and then make sure you have the latest update for your PDF reader. Then navigate to the article on ScienceDirect and instead of left clicking to open the article, please right-click on the PDF button and choose the “Save link as” or “Save Target as”. This will allow you to download the article directly to your computer instead of opening it in real-time.

Elsevier is working to fix the larger issue and an update will be posted when available.
